Vince McMahon: No More “Sports Entertainment”

Vince "Sports Entertainment" McMahon
There are rumors going around Titan headquarters that Vince McMahon has order all of WWE’s announcers to stop using the term, “Sports Entertainment.” In its place? “Entertainment.”
My only assumption is that Vince is still trying to get rid of those who want to bring him down because of steroids…Get rid of the word sports, steroids are not that big of a problem…Right?
If this is something that is really going on in Stamford…it is time to maybe come up with some new storylines instead!
Heyman: Wrestling Needs Shaking Up

Paul Heyman
I encourage everyone to take a read at Paul Heyman’s new article with UK’s The Sun. Heyman talks about something that I have been quietly saying to most of my fellow wrestling fans for some time…there needs to be a change.
I will be honest with you…I don’t even watch RAW every week anymore. I am just bored. No new characters. No new concepts. Nothing that would get me interested.
Turn Cena bad, DO SOMETHING…PLEASE!
I love wrestling and I want to care, but there just isn’t a reason right now!

Razor Ramon attacks Roundboy Jimmy Graham!
Posted by TheWrestlingGeek in The Heat on October 23, 2008

- Roundboy Jimmy Graham
I have known Roundboy Jimmy Graham for a couple of years. He is a very funny comedian who had been a part of my radio show for the past couple of years. He is one of the nicest and funniest men I have ever met.
Well it seems that Roundboy got himself into a little situation with Razor Ramon, YES that Razor Ramon, at the Iron Shiek Roast. Jimmy did a joke about the Iron Shiek, it went something like this…
When the Iron Shiek was busted with coke in Hacksaw Jim Duggan’s car in the 80s, his career fell faster than Owen Hart.
WOW!
After Jimmy finished up, Razor Ramon, who sounded a LITTLE under the influence, charged the stage. King Kong Bundy had to come in for the save!
Now was Jimmy’s joke over the line, YES! Was the joke inappropiate, YES!
BUT THAT IS WHAT A ROAST IS ALL ABOUT!
I give Roundboy credit for having the BALLS to tell that joke in a room full of wrestlers. I can only imagine how uncomfortable he must have been.
Here are a couple of YouTube Videos after Roundboy finished his set:
Philadelphia Spectrum will be demolished in 2009
Posted by TheWrestlingGeek in WWE News on July 18, 2008

It will be a sad day for this Wrestling Geek when the Philadelphia Spectrum is demolished. I saw my first professional wrestling show there on my 8th birthday. I don’t remember much from this show. I do remember standing for the whole Hogan VS Macho Man match and Miss Elizabeth slapping Macho Man at the end of the show. I also bought a foam 2X4 with Hoooooooo! written on it. I could have sworn that Andre the Giant was there but I guess I was wrong.
I know my parents were horrified at all of the people there going insane…
Here is the card!
WWF @ Philadelphia, PA – Spectrum – August 19, 1989 (12,145)
King Jim Duggan pinned Akeem
Hercules fought Haku to a double disqualification
Barry Windham pinned Paul Roma in under 4 minutes
Shawn Michaels & Marty Jannetty defeated Jacques & Raymond Rougeau in sudden death overtime in a 60-minute marathon match
Bret Hart & Jim Neidhart defeated Dino Bravo & Greg Valentine
WWF World Champion Hulk Hogan pinned Randy Savage
